\n\t\t\tAbout the Upstate Women’s Conference\t<\/h2>\n\t

As women, we all live busy lives. Regardless of our age or marital status, our weeks are packed full and we need more hours than the day offers in order to fit everything in. Would you be willing to set aside one Sunday night to be intentional to find rest, restore your heart, connect with other women from the Spartanburg area, and hear how God’s Word can speak into your life?<\/p>\n

God’s Word calls us to be authentic. In today’s world of highlight reels and social media posts, it’s easy to feel like your real life doesn’t stack up. The world sells us lies, which-if we’re not careful-we sacrifice our peace to buy. All the while, Jesus offers us His peace, His strength, His power, His hope and His companionship for free!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Join us as we gather real women who live real lives with real struggles, and be reminded that our God sees you, knows you, and loves you, even when your highlight reel isn’t worth sharing with the world. We hope you’ll leave with a connection to a community of women who are willing to trade the fake and shallow things of the world for the authenticity and peace of Jesus. Join women from all over the Upstate for one power-packed evening of worship, fellowship, truth, and encouragement!<\/p>\n\t

This event is open to all women ages 16 years and older, regardless of who you are or where you’re from.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTARA DEW\t<\/h2>\n\t

Tara Dew is a national speaker, author, and Bible teacher. She has loved Jesus for as long as she can remember, trusting Him to be her Savior at the age of five years old at a Billy Graham Crusade. She felt called to ministry in the high school youth group, where she also met her husband, Jamie. They have been married for 25 years and have been blessed with two sets of twins: Natalie & Nathan and Samuel & Samantha. Her primary ministry is to her family, as many hours of each day are spent homeschooling their four children.\u00a0<\/p> \n\t\tRead More\n\t\t

Tara Dew is a national speaker, author, and Bible teacher. She has loved Jesus for as long as she can remember, trusting Him to be her Savior at the age of five years old at a Billy Graham Crusade. Her primary ministry is to her family, as many hours of each day are spent homeschooling their four children.\u00a0Tara holds a Bachelors of Arts in Human Communication (2003) from Meredith College, a Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning Elementary Education (2012) from Liberty University and a Doctorate in Education (2018) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Tara’s dissertation was entitled\u00a0Survive or Thrive: An Exploration of the Preparedness of Southern Baptist Pastors’ Wives<\/em>.Tara is the President’s wife, serving the students, staff, and faculty of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She teaches as an adjunct professor in the Ministry to Women program. She also directs and teaches in\u00a0THRIVE: A Ministry Wives Certificate Program at NOBTS. Her first book,\u00a0Overflowing Joy<\/em>, was released in February 2024 and her second book,\u00a0Overflowing Peace<\/em>, will be coming out spring 2026.\u00a0
<\/em><\/a>Through all of the ministry opportunities, two of Tara’s passions have remained the same: God’s Word and women!\u00a0<\/p>\t\n

Years ago, Michelle noticed how easily women can become focused more on getting things done rather than on what matters most. Michelle launched this non-profit discipleship community for working women to have a place for a constant conversation with practical steps to strengthen churches and stir one another up to love and good works. In addition to co-hosting the SWHW podcast + Patreon, she + her best friend\/ministry partner, Somer, co-wrote a book She Works His Way: A Practical Guide to What Matters Most in a Get Things Done World. <\/p> \n\t\tRead More\n\t\t
